Customer Spotlight – Man O’War Harley-Davidson
One of the best parts of our job is the great people and companies we get to partner with. Man O’War Harley-Davidson is a great example of that. I spoke with Bobby White at Man O’War this week and asked him a little bit about his business and the project we just completed. I got a lesson in Harley-Davidson that was fascinating. Here’s a fun fact – Visitors to the dealership are often greeted with “Welcome Home” when they enter the building. White says that’s because “We consider ourselves to be family. It’s not just about selling a motorcycle. It’s a connection, a lifestyle”. There’s a community at the dealership. Some people stop by daily just to ‘hang out’.
Harley-Davidson has a strong connection to the military and the veterans of the US Armed Forces.
Did you know that in April of 1917 Harley-Davidson joined the war effort and upped production delivering more than 20,000 cycles to troops in WWI and continued through the Korean War and WWII? Pretty amazing.
A lot of the motorcycle clubs were started by veterans who left the military and missed the camaraderie, the brotherhood and the Harley-Davidson they had depended on for their life during the war.
While COVID-19 has had a negative impact on many businesses and individuals over the last year, Harleys have provided an outlet to the stress and confinement of the pandemic. Social distancing is the perfect time to get on your bike and hit the road and escape. Riding motorcycles is therapy. “You can have the worst day in the world and get on your bike and hit the road and your troubles just melt away.” White said.
The dealership has been using the new Ring Central hosted phone system about 2 months. They love it and according to Bobby the installation was 100% perfect. They used our Professional Services to help design, install and train on the new product. It was a win-win for everyone involved. Our team said it was one of the most fun installations they had done and our involvement made for a smooth installation for the dealership.
If you’re near the Man O’War Harley-Davidson Dealership in Lexington, stop in. You’ll feel like family and maybe find a new way to melt your troubles away.
